Coming Changes Mandated by

San Diego City / County

On April 28th 2011 certain ordinances passed by the San Diego City Council went into effect. We here at Balboa Medical Center are fighting for patients rights and will contest these highly restrictive and irrational measures taken by these elected officials. Balboa Medical is uniquely situated in that our location fully complies with all the restrictions imposed upon all collectives. While that is an enviable position to be in, it also places us under much more scrutiny than other collectives. In order to assure our continued viability as an outlet for patient medicines, we need to fully and completely comply with the changes forced upon us by the city and county of San Diego. Many of these things we vehemently disagree with, but nevertheless we are forced to comply with these changes. Since we will be one of the few locations in San Diego to survive the changes, we will be under even more intense scrutiny than would be other locations, for this reason we need to be out in front of the changes, and implement them as soon as possible to avoid any possible future negative actions. For these reasons and others we will be making two major changes effective Monday, May 9 2011.

New Hours of Operation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Sales Tax of 8.75% will be assessed on all medicine dispensed.
